Invision's back-up and storage environments provide the following services for the growing needs of our clients:
- Back-up Management for data protection and management
- SAN Management for information storage to support IT systems
- Custom Storage solutions to address application and database performance issues
Back-up Infrastructure
Invision maintains a heterogeneous shared back-up environment composed of various types of LTO systems from Dell, StorageTek, Exabyte and ADIC. To perform our back-ups, we use Brightstor ARCserve Enterprise Backup from Computer Associates. We provide back-up services for Windows, Unix, Linux, Databases, MS Exchange, Oracle, and more using various Brightstor ARCserve Enterprise backup agents.
Our standard back-up methodology is based on weekly full back-ups and daily incremental backups. We maintain four generations of backups with the latest generation maintained on-site and the prior three generations maintained off-site.
Storage Infrastructure
Similar to our back-up environment, Invision's storage environment scales across multiple systems. From simple direct-attached storage and Network Attached Storage (NAS) to iSCSI and advanced Storage Area Networks (SAN), our clients' needs demand that we support the latest technologies.
We provide storage solutions using EMC, Dell, IBM, StoreAge, Neverfail and Nexsan. Additionally, the Invision team supports client-owned storage hardware and software from various vendors.
